Barboteurs

« Prenant comme point de départ la culture du vin, au cœur de l’identité faugerolle [...] Héloïse Colrat détourne le barboteur, ustensile à vocation scientifique servant à piéger les gaz, nécessaire à une bonne fermentation, en proposant cinq variations de cet outil qui prennent place sur d’imposants tonneaux. Au-delà de leur utilité fonctionnelle, les objets d’une grande fragilité exécutés par l’artiste se nourrissent d’une dimension symbolique et créative, alliant motifs cosmiques, animaux, et musicaux à l’aspect clinique du récipient, comme autant d’expressions des potentialités imaginatives véhiculées par le vin. »

"Taking as a starting point the culture of wine, at the heart of the Faugerolle identity [...] Héloïse Colrat hijacks the bubbler, a scientific utensil used to trap the gases necessary for fermentation, by proposing five variations of this tool that take their place on imposing barrels. Beyond their functional utility, the fragile objects executed by the artist are nourished by a symbolic and creative dimension, combining cosmic, animal and musical motifs with the clinical aspect of the vessel, like so many expressions of the imaginative potential conveyed by wine."
